Linden Oaks is located in Buena Park and offers Intensive Outpatient Programs for adolescents ages 12 to 18. We teach teens the critical life skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world. We teach teens important social and communications skills so they can interact effectively with others. They also learn to regulate their emotions to remain and reduce negative stress and anxiety.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Developing Life Skills

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) can help teens develop coping skills and life skills to manage mental health issues and potential substance abuse issues.  IOP programs can assist teens navigate social situations with peers, make healthier choices, prevent isolation and loneliness.

Peer Support

Group therapy allows teens to connect with peers who are facing similar challenges. 

Skills Development

IOPs teach teens how to manage stress, anxiety, and triggers through emotional regulation techniques and communication skills. 

Family Involvement

IOPs often include family therapy sessions, which can help improve family dynamics and provide a supportive environment for the teen's recovery. 

Structured Environment

IOPs are highly structured programs that take place in a clinical setting, which can help teens develop healthy habits. 

Gradual Transition

IOPs can support teens in their transition from intensive treatment to more independent living.

Privacy

IOPs allow teens to maintain their privacy and feel confident and safe during their recovery process. 

Linden Oaks is dedicated to maximizing the life skills of our youth

Linden Oaks brings 70 years of expertise supporting individuals with a variety of communication, mental and behavioral health disorders working with children and adults across LA, OC and Riverside counties. We have established relationships with some 50 public school districts and are here to support a healthy transition so teens flourish in their home school settings while maintaining their privacy (peers don't have to know they are enrolled in our program). 

About Linden Oaks

Linden Oaks is a non-profit school and therapy center located in Buena Park and serving Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. We serve children and young adults who have special needs in language, learning and/or behavior. More than 200 staff members provide programs and services for around 300 children and adults ages 5 through 40 years. The majority of our students have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, though many students have multiple conditions. All programs and services are available to students during the school day.
